Your Bird Dog:
I’m in the process of getting one, which you can read about in a series of posts called My First Bird Dog .
What’s Your Favorite Pheasants Forever Event?
I attend the Lac qui Parle (Minn.) County Pheasants Forever chapter banquet every February. This is where I grew up, I’ve been going since I can remember, and maybe one of these years I’ll even win a shotgun…
What’s the Best Part about Being Involved with Pheasants Forever?
People can’t quit caring. Many of this organization’s members, volunteers and staff got involved more than two decades ago, and they’re going stronger than ever.
What’s Your Favorite Pheasants Forever Project?
As a pheasant hunter, I’m partial to land purchases that permanently protect upland habitat while opening acres to public access. The 25th Anniversary Wildlife Management Area in my home county is one such project, which we hunted during Pheasants Forever’s Rooster Road Trip 2010.
What Are You Looking Forward to During Pheasants Forever’s Rooster Road Trip 2011?
Highlighting Pheasants Forever projects in each state visited – the scope of this organization never ceases to amaze me. On a personal level, I’ve never hunted pheasants in Iowa, so I look forward to crossing that state off my bird hunting bucket list.
